Overview
Scantek, Australia's leader in identity verification technology, approached us with an incomplete website left behind by a previous agency. The website didn't adhere to WCAG accessibility and usability guidelines, had several broken sections, and was quite visually erratic. Our job was to make the website easier to use, fix everything so it worked well, and keep the look they already had, without obstructing their brand identity.
The Design Process
We adhered closely to Scantek’s brand guidelines, making sure that all of the pages had the same layout, colour scheme, and typeface. Enhancing visual consistency was prioritised, particularly in button design and call to action locations. In order to comply with WCAG accessibility guidelines, we also corrected low contrast issues. Our goal was to uphold the trustworthy and professional image that Scantek's brand embodies throughout the process, while clearly making an impact.
The Development Process
The website was built on WordPress using Elementor, which required precise handling to avoid disrupting existing content and templates. In addition to fixing broken HubSpot form links, we also fixed a malfunctioning carousel slider, fixed menu responsiveness, and updated outdated design elements. To fix known security flaws, we updated a number of essential plugin and theme dependencies. Finally, we made sure the website works well on all kinds of devices, like computers, tablets, and phones.
